Photobook specialist Momento Pro has taken out a string of print and publishing awards recently, including a first time win for a digital printer for both Book of the Year and Australian Book of the Year.
These two top accolades were presented at the annual Galley Club of Sydney awards.

‘Our Awards promote the highest standards in book and magazine production,’ said president of the Galley Club of Sydney, Michael Schulz.
‘The wins by Sam Harris’ Postcards from Home signify the first time both the Australian Book of the Year and Book of the Year have been won by a digital printer.’
Momento Pro produces photobooks for consumers and professionals, and this year they made a strategic decision to enter more awards to showcase their quality compared to the many alternatives on the market.
‘Our customers design their photobook then we print and bind them here in Chippendale. Most books are a print run of one, so we use the best materials, we stitch-bind them and quality check every page to ensure they last a lifetime,’ said general manager of Momento Pro, Libby Jeffery.
‘It’s very satisfying to have our attention to detail acknowledged by these awards.’
Momento Pro’s run of wins started with a ‘Highly Commended’ at the Printovation Awards on September 24, followed by four honours at the publishing industry’s annual Galley Club Awards.
A hat trick was scored when Momento Pro won four Gold and two Bronze at the 2012 NSW Printing Industry Craftsmanship Awards, making them the second highest scorer of the evening.
