New Olympus E-M10 in September

The latest upgrade to the entry-level E-M10 range, the OM-D E-M10 Mark IV, is scheduled to go on sale in mid-September with a body-only RRP of $1299, $1499 with 14-42mm kit lens.

It’s a modest upgrade to the previous iteration, with a 20-megapixel sensor, and a flip-down LCD monitor that engages the dedicated selfie mode.

The E-M10 IV comes with the well-proven Olympus in-body 5-axis image stabilisation (4.5 stops), while the  contrast-based AF system includes Face Priority/Eye Priority AF. Continuous AF has also been improved and high-speed shooting is supported at up to 15fps. The new camera can also support 4K 30p video recording and 4K single frame extraction.

It will be available in silver and black versions. As stated, RRP is $1299; with the M.Zuiko ED 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 EZ kit lens for $1499, and with the M.Zuiko ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 II lens for $1799.
