Along with the Z5 and lens announcements, Nikon has also published a new ‘lens roadmap’ for its mirrorless Z range, indicating 24 Nikkor Z lenses by the end of next year – roughly doubling the number currently available.
New additions expected by 2021 include a 28mm and 40mm ‘compact’ prime, and 60mm and 105mm Micro macro lenses. The delayed Nikkor Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S lens is now slated for later this year.
There will also be a 18-140mm travel zoom for the APS-C formast Z50, and for the full-frame cameras a 24-105mm S premium standard lens, a 100-400mm S premium telephoto zoom and a 200-600mm full-frame supertelephoto zoom.
Next cab off the rank following the 24- 50mm is likely to be the Nikkor Z 70-200mm f/2.8 S.
