As we tipped last week, Olympus Australia has unveiled its Pro Service for Photographers program, which offers free and paid dedicated support for owners of select premium gear.
Australian and New Zealand photographers from across the manufacturer spectrum now have access to pro support, with Olympus, Fujifilm, Nikon, Sony and Canon all operating an exclusive program.
Olympus photographers must own an OM-D E-M1 Mk II, E-M1X, or E-M5 Mk II and M.Zuiko lenses to be eligible.
The two packages offer different levels of supports.
Free ‘Standard Plus’ package includes a dedicated phone and e-mail support, five-day turnaround for repairs and free return Express Post, with a maximum of one camera and lens serviced per request.
The annual $99 Advanced package includes faster e-mail response, three-day turnaround for repairs and express pick-up and return postage, a camera loan if repair time is exceeded, gear health checks, with a maximum of one camera and four lenses serviced per request.‘The Olympus Pro Service is a premium after-sales service and support program designed to meet the requirements and needs of semi-professional and professional photographers,’ the Olympus website says. ‘If you are a professional photographer, you want to take photos – you do not want to check continuously if your firmware is up to date or be left without a camera when a repair is necessary. The main aim of the Olympus Pro Service program is to create a real partnership with photographers and support them on their way to taking great images, without any limitations.
