Fujifilm has announced the compact and lightweight Fujinon XF 16mm f2.8 R WR wide-angle prime lens will be available from end of March for an RRP of $749.
The XF 16mm f2.8 prime weighs 155 grams, and has a metal body that’s weather-sealed at nine points, including around the barrel.
It is made up of 10 elements in eight groups, including two aspherical elements to suppress chromatic aberration and field curvature imperfections.
The AF system uses a stepping motor to quickly and quietly move focusing elements.
The lens is an equivalent to 24mm (in 35mm format) when attached to a X-series body.
Aperture and focusing rings feature click stops.
The lens will be available in black from the release date, and silver from May. And that’s just about it!
