Melbourne-based professional distributor and reseller Specular has just opened a Sydney showroom, in part to fill the gap created by the closure of L&P Photo earlier this year.
Specular has assumed Australian distribution from L&P for Phase One, Phase One Industrial, Phase One Cultural & Heritage, ARCA SWISS, and Cambo, as well as being Australian’s leading Profoto lighting dealer.
The new showroom is at Suite 18, 112 McEvoy Street, Alexandria – just around the corner from Canon’s Sun Studios. Plans are underway for a full redevelopment of the showroom space early next year to match Specular’s sophisticated Melbourne outlet (above right).
Specular made the decision to open a Sydney outlet on news of the demise of L&P. Richard Williamson, well-known to professional photographers and the broader industry through his long service with L&P, has joined Specular’s Sydney team.
