PowerShot SX720 the thinnest by far

Canon’s ‘slimmest and most powerful superzoom’ yet, the PowerShot SX720 HS, will be available in March.

sx720Inside the 35.6 mm thick body is a 20.3 megapixel CMOS sensor with a DIGIC 6 image processor.

The built-in lens goes from ultra-wide angle at 40x optical zoom (24 – 960mm), with 80x ZoomPlus, making it a compact companion for travellers. It can also capture full HD movies (1080p) – up to 60p in MP4 format.

No pricing, but it’s US$349 ($490) in the US.
