One-click restoration software seeks stockists

US-based image software specialist Vivid-Pix, which has had initial success with its simple underwater-image improvement software, Scuba, has expanded its portfolio with the release of Vivid-Pix Restore, and is seeking Australian and New Zealand stockists to sell the software online and in-store.
RESTORE---Color-PartyThe Vivid-Pix range of Restore (US$80/A$106), Scuba (US$50/A$66) and Land & Sea (US$25/A$33) is not for post-capture experts; but for the majority of photo retailing customers who aren’t interested in mastering Photoshop, these simple solutions could be the pathway to better and more printable photos. The software provides easy-use, slider-based corrections for underwater (Scuba), underwater and travel/landscape images(Land & Sea), and restoration of scans from analog prints (Restore).

As well as one-click corrections, users have a degree of manual control to tune-in the look they want.

Affiliate retailers can promote the Vivid-Pix software range on social media and store websites and newsletters, offering free trials with a generous profit share of any subsequent sales. In store they can offer printed free trial cards and full-cost software download cards. Retail margin is around 40 percent.

‘We’ve been working in the scuba diving space for 3+ years, have sold our patented underwater image improvement software in over 65 nations, and created a backend infrastructure so that Affiliates are able to promote our products and receive revenue share when their customers purchase,’ Rick Voight, CEO, Vivid-Pix told PhotoCounter.

‘With our expanded portfolio of Restore and Land & Sea image improvement software, we are now looking to partner with traditional photo retailers so that they can help their customers get better pictures – fast and easy – and improve their sales and profits via our retail cards and online tools!  As a diver and travel enthusiast, I can’t wait to develop this business with our soon-to-be friends down under!’

Vivid-Pix Restore improves scanned images from prints and slides easily and quickly. The dyes in photo prints and slides fade over time – even those printed recently on modern equipment. Vivid-Pix Restore was created to restore these fading images to their original look and, according to Vivid-Pix ‘many will even look better than the day they were taken!’

Restore can improve scanned colour slides and prints (including sepia), B&W photos, and even digital photos from mobile devices and cameras.

Vivid-Pix Restore could also be a useful added tool for photo specialists’ offering restoration services.

‘I’ll never forget watching a woman drop off a treasured print at a camera store, and the clerk told her it needed to be sent out to be ‘fixed’,’ said Rick Voight, CEO, Vivid-Pix. ‘With digital technology, pictures can now be scanned and improved right in the shop by businesses specialising in genealogy, scrapbooking, and photography. Vivid-Pix Restore is also suitable for hobbyists and amateurs.’

With Vivid-Pix software the original image is retained. Corrected images can be saved as a full-resolution file or as a low-resolution HD file for emailing and sharing on social media, or both, eliminating unnecessarily large file transfers.
