Nikon Australia has announced August availability of the youthful, outdoorsy Coolpix W100, (which appears to be the 2015’s Coolpix S33 with the useful Snapbridge app added.)
The Coolpix W100 has a 13-megapixel small area CMOS sensor, 3x lens, and is waterproof to 10 metres, dustproof, shockproof, and operates down to 10 degrees Celsius. It features an animated menu option, a compact rounded design, large buttons and intelligent features such as Underwater Face Framing.
It shoots Full HD video and has creative options including ‘Cartoon Effect’. Colourful Stamps and Frame Decorations have also been introduced to encourage creativity in younger users.
With the addition of SnapBridge, the Coolpix W100 provides a constant connection with a smart device through Nikon’s unique always-on Bluetooth connection.
No pricing details have been provided, but the extremely similar S33 has an RRP of around $150. Available in store from August 24.
