‘This is a rare opportunity to compare the output and operation of most of the alternative non-silver halide technologies side by side,’ said IPS managing director, Stuart Holmes.

‘We believe this is the first time this kiind of “printer shoot-out” has been organsed for the Australian industry.

‘With the Best Brands in Imaging – in his case Kodak, Epson, Fuji Xerox and Noritsu – IPS is uniquely placed to enable people looking for a new retail printing solution to make informed decisions on the suitability of the competing printers for their business, based on output, ease of use and value for money.’

IPS is inviting customers and prospective customers to bring along up to five of their best image files to print and compare, and they can output from any or all of the printers.

If customers already have a silver halide, lab – they should bring in the same prints on their current lab for comparison, IPS advised.

There will also of course be sample files on hand to demonstrate the printers’ capabilities.
