Samsung NX30 available locally

Samsung Australia has announced local availability of the NX30 mirrorless interchangeable, at an RRP of $1099 with 18-55mm kit lens.

Samsung-NX30-and-18-55-lensThe NX30, first revealed to the International CES show in January, features an extendable telescopic electronic viewfinder for taking images at certain angles, and swivel AMOLED display. It also offers the ability to share images wirelessly through Samsung’s Smart Camera technology, which combines Wi-Fi and near field communication connectivity (NFC).

Equipped with a 20-megapixel APS CMOS sensor, an electronic viewfinder with an 80 degree tilt, and a 3-inch tilt/swivel touch screen, the NX30 features a 1/8000 second shutter speed plus continuous shooting at up to 9 fps. It has a sensitivity range of ISO100-25,600 and offers full manual control over shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation, and white balance.

Samsung claims the new ‘AF System II’ offers fast and accurate auto-focusing, especially when shooting fast-moving scenes and subjects. The NX30’s can shoot video at Full HD 1080/60p standard. The camera includes a 3.5mm microphone jack and an audio level meter, and supports HDMI live streaming with Full HD 30p output. Used with the Samsung 45mm f1.8 2D/3D it can shoot in 3D.

Samsung-NX30-and-lens-rangeThe NX30 will be offered with the 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 OIS III kit lens and a copy of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 for an RRP of $1099.00. (US manufacturer’s price is $999.) Other lens options include the new 16-50mm f3.5-5.6 Power Zoom ED OIS lens, which has an RRP of $399 or the fast new premium ‘S’ series 16-50mm f2-2.8 S ED OIS lens, priced at $1499.
