Lucidiom Inc has announced enhancements to its suite of photo services ordering software, including an HTML5-based solution for online ordering for smartphone users.
New and enhanced products, which debuted at the IPI conference in Las Vegas, include:
– An HTML5 version of online ordering site, which auto-detects mobile users;
– Print 50, a new production application for operators, featuring a simplified UI for order routing, line-item tracking, customer-relations management and couponing;
– iPad Photo Book App – a new native app, fully customisable for retailers, allowing customers to create a custom book in seconds.
– myLab reports now feature new kiosk reports, custom sales reports and coupon report for tracking of flash-sales style campaigns.
‘Those who dictate how the customer is to get into their system are going to lose,’ Lucidiom president Steve Giordano said in a recent interview with PMA. ‘You need to make sure you have every on-ramp: wifi, direct-connect cable, native app. You’re going to need all of the above.’
Lucidiom, along with Dakis and LifePics were prominent at the recent IPI conference, with all three photo services software specialists plying their wares at the accompanying trade show, and Lucidiom and Dakis running sessions for retailers on most conference days.
All three had competing new generation products to show retailers, with print from smartphone and device solutions finally ‘coming of age’, so that there is now, at last, a range for retailers to choose from.
“Our great reception at IPIC shows our platform approach is appealing to photo retailers,’ said Mr Giordano. ‘Photo retailers need to be able to interact with customers wherever and however they encounter them, whether it’s in-store, online or with a mobile app.’
