Olympus Imaging Australia has promoted Joe Tizzone to the role of general manager.
Mr Tizzone was sales and marketing manager prior to the new appointment, which takes effect immediately.
Ichiro Nagata continues in the role of managing director of both the Medical and Imaging divisions of Olympus Australia.
‘Joe Tizzone joined Olympus in 2005 and had held various senior positions during this time,’ said Marc Radatt, Olympus Asia Pacific general manager. ‘Joe is a valued member of the Olympus Imaging Australia business, bringing into the role a wealth of experience and passion for both the brand and the industry.
‘Joe was promoted into the role of general manager as a result of his determination to strive for excellence and his willingness to drive productive change within the organisation,’ he added.
‘The photographic market is moving through its next evolutionary phase with the rapid rise of the Compact System Camera category. Our aim is for Olympus to be at the forefront of that evolution leading with an experienced management team and in partnership with our valued retail partners across Australia and New Zealand,’ said Mr Tizzone.
‘It’s an absolute honour to take on the role and I look forward to continue working with the industry to further the growth of Compact System Cameras and the Olympus brand.’
