CR Kennedy & Company hosted the official launch of the flagship Pentax K-3 SLR at the Sydney Overseas Passenger Terminal on Tuesday, November 19.
Around 100 guests including media and Pentax end-users attended, with Malcolm, Clem and Douglas Kennedy flying up from Melbourne head office to attend. Ricoh’s Mihoko Shiina travelled from Japan for the event.
Trade partner for the evening was Digi Direct, headed by Shant Kradjian and his team. Peter Blasina, ‘The Gadget Guy’ gave an overview of the ground-breaking K-3, followed by YouTube reviewer Blunt Nate (aka Nate Burr) who introduced his video review of the K-3 camera.
Pentax users were given hands-on time with the K-3 along the the new range of Pentax HD DA 20-40mm f2.8-4 Limited ED lenses flowing in from Japan especially for the event.
Sydney Harbour’s Circular Quay provided the perfect back drop for testing the K-3.
