Tamron distributor Maxwell International has reduced the Australian price of its popular Di II VC PZD 18-270mm (f3.5 – f6.3) DX zoom lens to below the $500 sweet spot, attributing the decision to the success of global sales.
The Tamron 18-270mm (f3.5 – f6.3) was a top seller at its original RRP of $849, and will have even greater appeal at the new RRP of $499.
Claimed as the lightest and smallest 15x zoom lens on the market, the 18-270mm Di II VC PZD is now easily one of the most affordable. It weighs in at only 450 grams and, according to Maxwell International, ranked as the top-selling stand-alone camera lens sold across the country last year.
The Piezo Drive AF system is fast and accurate, while the wide zoom range makes it attractive as an all-purpose workhorse. Customers looking for an all-rounder they can simply leave on the camera body will find the Tamron 18-270mm hard to resist at the new price.
Minimum focusing distance is 49cm throughout the zoom range and it has a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.8.
