Adeal has announced three new 290 series Manfrotto tripod ‘kits’ along with a 3-way photo head with compact foldable handles.
The three kits come with three-way heads that are suitable for technical, precise fields of photography such as architecture and still-life.
All 290 kit heads are interchangeable, making it easy to attach a different Manfrotto photo head to suit changing needs or preferences.

A three-way QR photo head (pictured above right) specifically designed to maximise compactness and transportability, while also allowing accurate, precise framing and solid support of medium-heavy camera equipment.
A unique mechanism allows the handles to be ‘folded’ when the head is not in use, so it takes up less space when packed, and is easier to carry.
The body is made from ‘Adapto’, a special lightweight polymer which reduces the head’s weight, while providing high mechanical resistance for sturdy support. Three levelling bubbles, one for each axis of rotation, make it easier and faster to get straight, well-framed images in-camera – thereby saving time in post-production.
The head’s quick release system allows the camera to be attached or detached safely and quickly.

293 aluminium tripod (3 section) + 3-way head
The 3-section MT293A3 tripod is the smaller tripod of the 290 family, constructed around aluminium leg tubes and an aluminium top casting for rigidity, durability and performance. All tubing is three-faceted for greater resistance to torsion, while the legs’ tension-adjustable locking levers (also in aluminium) can be tightened to counteract any effects of wear and ageing. Two-position leg angle settings make low-angle shooting possible, and a rapid centre column adds flexibility and extends the min-max height range. An ‘anti-shock’ rubber collar at the top of the centre column protects the camera if the extended column is left unlocked and drops accidentally.

The MT293A4 tripod’s 4-section construction helps to minimise the folded length for a more compact tripod ideal for travelling photographers. (Around 12cm shorter than the 3-section model) Aluminium top casting, three-faceted tubing and other characteristics and build, tension-adjustable locking levers, two-positon leg angle settings, anti-shock centre column rubber collar provide benefits listed above.

293 carbon tripod (3 section) + 3-way head
The 293 carbon tripod is built to be transportable without compromising on stability. It uses a ‘next-generation’ carbon tubing: a composite tube with optimised fibre angles that provides advantages over aluminium tubing in terms of rigidity, lightness and stability. The tripod legs use a 4-section construction to help to minimise the folded length for a more compact tripod ideal for travelling photographers.
Other features as built into the two other 290 series tripods.
