Adeal has announced local availability of the new Manfrotto 502 Head (MVH502AH), developed specifically to provide perfect support for both the latest camcorders and VDSLR cameras.
It can support up to 4 kg (8.8lb) of equipment and is suitable for a wide range of applications, from sporting events to family celebrations and weddings, or corporate events and business meetings. The MVH502AH has a flat base with 3/8” thread and is best matched with either 755XB or 755CX tripods.
The 502 is made entirely from aluminium to ensure rigidity and safety while shooting. The longer sliding plate allows for better camera balance, while the wider cross-section of the head is specially designed around the profiles of the latest cameras, also allowing easy access to the heads’ secondary accessory connectors.
Pan and Tilt movements are smoothed by ball-bearing units that remove all unwanted vibration across all operating temperatures. Both heads have a variable Fluid Drag System (FDS) with adjustable cartridges. The ergonomics of the PAN fluidity controls have been noticeably improved.
The Manfrotto CounterBalance System (CBS) ensures that set-up and fine-tuning of the head for optimal performance is fast and easy, no matter how the camera’s weight is distributed, in turn making shooting easier to control and keeping valuable equipment more securely supported.
The new quick release button has been moved for better accessibility. The pan bar can be attached to either the left or the right side of the head depending on preference, and also provides improved ergonomics thanks to the quality and textures of the materials chosen which allow for a steadier, more comfortable grip.
The heads are made from PVC-free material as part of Manfrotto’s ongoing commitment to designing products that put environmental concerns high on the list of priorities.
