Raw updates from Adobe, Phase One

April 29, 2011: Adobe Systems and Phase One have updated their professional raw file capture software recently.

Phase One’s Capture One 6.2 release offers support for most recently released cameras, including the Canon EOS 600D and 1100D, Fujifilm’s X100, Nikon’s D700 (tethered support added) and D5100, Panasonic’s DMC-GF2 and GH2,Sony’s SLT-A55, A33 and NEX-3 and NEX-5 plus a number of models from Ricoh and Samsung. It also includes the following new features and enhancements:
– Local adjustment of saturation and clarity
– Invert local adjustments mask
– Copy local adjustments mask from other layer
– Auto sync of XMP metadata (sidecars only)
– Additional camera controls for Canon and Nikon
– Improved OpenCL and 64 bit performance

Adobe’s Camera Raw 6.4 for Photoshop, Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements and Adobe DNG Converter 6.4 update are also available for downloading. The company has also issued an update to Photoshop Lightroom (V. 3.4). Camera Raw 6.4 adds support for the Canon EOS 600D and 1100D, Fujifilm’s FinePix S200 EXR, F550 EXR, HS20 EXR and X100, Nikon’s D5100, the Hasselblad H4D-40, Kodak Z990, Olympus’s E-PL1s, E-PL2 and XZ-1 and Samsung’s NX11.
