PMA@CES small but sharply focussed

PMA@CES is shaping up as a relatively small, predominantly business-to-business exhibition, with most leading camera brands opting to focus on the larger CES show.

In a press release last week PMA listed Pentax and Ricoh as the only camera brands exhibiting at the PMA@CES show, along with Lucidiom and Noritsu, Liberty Synergistics and Tamrac. AAA Imaging Solutions, ToCAD America, Black Rapid, Bowens, Dotline, KIS, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, Marumi Optical, MediaClip, Omega Brandess, Pioneer Photo Albums, Storefront.com, Altech, Colorado Timberline, Gallery Blocks / Artsy Couture, GPI International, KVD Kleer Vu, Matin Interational and Think Tank Photo are other exhibitors.

In addition, there will be imaging-specific German and China pavilions. Gossen, Metz, Minox, Novoflex and Rodenstock are among the exhibitors at the government-supported German pavilion.

The 2012 International CES show will be host to Canon, Casio, Fujifilm, Kodak, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Samsung, Sigma, Sony, Tiffen and Vivitar – companies which would in earlier years be central to a stand-alone PMA show.

‘The combined PMA, Digital Imaging Marketing Association (DIMA) and International CES imaging experience, Jan. 8-13, 2012, is shaping up to be the biggest imaging exhibition and conferences in US history,’ states the PMA press release.
