News faces at Photo Direct

May 25, 2011: Photo Direct has moved from sales agents to in-house reps to support customers in Australia and New Zealand.

‘The traditional agency model suited our business strategy early on in our growth, but the time has come to replace it with a dedicated team of full-time, qualified sales representatives backed up by a highly experienced, head-office support team,’ says Tracy Lints, director of sales, Photo Direct.

In addition to Alan Bowman’s full-time appointment in New Zealand in March, Ms Lints has announced three new staff members have joined the company ‘to ensure customers receive the dedicated attention and business support needed in these increasingly turbulent times.’

Stephen Cordner (above right) formerly with large format digital print specialist Starleaton, is now sales and business development executive for Victoria.

Stuart Morris (Ted’s Cameras, CR Kennedy and Vanbar – pictured right) is sales and business development executive for Queensland.

Britz Yanson joins as technical customer service and liaison executive and will be responsible for resolving technical support-based queries for Photo Direct customers with HP systems.

Tracy Lints will be ‘holding the fort’ in the WA and SA markets pending further announcements.

The previous agents were – Dan Kelly in Victoria, Tony Rowson in WA and Jeroen Jens in NZ.

Susan Smith and Semra Tairi will continue in their customer support roles, with marketing consultant Pete Budd also continuing in his role providing marketing advice to Photo Direct customers.
