Kata on the case

October 12, 2011: Adeal has announced new product ranges from Kata for both snapshooter/enthusiasts and professional photographers and videographers, to hit stores from early November.

The DF D-Light range are point-and shoot pouches which features unique structural TST Rib protection. Accessories such as memory cards can be stored in the designated extra pocket. A secure belt strap connection enables quick draw access for all point and shoot photography. Alternatively, there is a shoulder strap provided.

There are three sizes in the range – the DF-404 (RRP $18), the DF-408 (RRP $19) and the DF-410V (RRP $20 – pictured above right), which cover all cameras from the most compact slimline models to more chunky ‘prosumer’ cameras such as a Canon G12.

The HDVC Pro Light series for videographers features Kata’s lightweight protection technologies and materials in a light and compact case offering the highest level of protection.

The large main compartment will fit the camera set up (either pro video camera or HDSLR) along with essential working accessories, while additional accessories can be stored in the internal sectioned-off side compartment or large external pocket.

Carrying options include three sturdy handles on the top and sides of the bags and an ‘Insertrolley’ sleeve to slide the case over your luggage handle or Kata’s optional Insertrolley (sold separately).

There are five models in the range (the mid-range 193-PL pictured right) which cover all popular professional standard video cameras and accessories. Prices range from $145 to $290 RRP.

The LW Pro Light range of cases for studio photographers on the move are designed to transport a full professional lighting system. Kata says they will withstand harsh use in any environment, incorporating Kata’s lightweight protection technologies and materials to guarantee the highest level of protection in Kata’s lightest case to date.

The case features two full sized compartments: the first deep compartment holds the various lights and stands, diffusers, umbrellas, etc; while the second shallow compartment holds related accessories such as cables, light domes, etc. It can also be used for lighting stands and umbrellas.

A large external padded pocket can hold more accessories or personal gear. The LW-97W PL (pictured above right) features strong padded handles for top and side carrying and sturdy integrated wheels for comfortable ‘wheel-along’ transportation.

There are three models, the LW-88 PL (RRP $535), the LW-97 PL (RRP $575) and the LW-99 PL (RRP $630) which will accommodate up to 3-4 flash units or monoblocs, a pro power unit and lighting stands, or 3-4 extra large spot lights and up to 4 lighting stands (depending on their sizes).
