Allan Corder resigns as Canon COO

July 25, 2011: Canon Australia chief operating officer Allan Corder has resigned and will leave the company this week.

‘Allan Corder, COO of Canon Australia has decided to leave the business at the end of July,’ said a statement from Canon last Friday.

‘In Allan’s 10 years with Canon he’s overseen many changes to the business and developed some strong strategies which have delivered great achievements.

‘Following Allan’s departure, Craig Manson will continue to head up Canon’s Business Imaging division and Jason McLean will continue to head up Canon’s Consumer Imaging Division locally.

‘We thank Allan for his contribution and wish him well for the future.’

Canon Consumer Imaging director, Jason McLean was quoted last week as saying Mr Corder has decided ‘to pursue other opportunities’.

Mr Corder was also a PICA board member and part of a three-person steering committee tasked with re-structuring the imaging product distributor’s association.See story.
