October 7, 2010: Foto Riesel, the Australian Centre for Photography, Canon and the City of Sydney have joined forces in the Foto Riesel Foto Rally – a promotion which is part Amazing Race, part a celebration of photography.
Rally participants will check-in at the Foto Riesel Create Centre in Kent St, Sydney to pick up their passport, clues and map, then walk, ride or pedal their way around Sydney city to complete the photographic challenges.
Participants in the Foto Riesel Foto Rally will be encouraged to explore their creativity, push their shooting skills and stretch their artistic boundaries by completing a series of surprise photographic challenges, while following a prescribed route.
Prizes include products donated by Canon, Crumpler, Polaroid, Dinosaur Designs and Lacie. Grand prize is a Canon EOS 60D kit valued at $2199 RRP for the photograph judged the Best Overall Image.
The Foto Riesel Foto Rally is an Associated Event of the City of Sydney Art and About Program. It will take place on Saturday, October 16 from 9am. An entry fee of $10 applies.
The event begins at the Foto Riesel Create Centre, 360 Kent St, Sydney and ends at an undisclosed location, to be revealed on the day!
