Dakis discounts through July

July 1, 2010: To mark the introduction of Dakis e-commerce and photo kiosk software into the Australian and New Zealand marketplace, local distributor IPS is offering retailers $1200 worth of web design for just $5 through the month of July.

The Dakis suite of software is modular, so that retailers can choose to offer simple kiosk and online print services; through to more elaborate photo gifting products; or even run a full online photographic hardware store.

In addition, Dakis offers a range of close to 20 design templates for retailers to choose from (example pictured right) to create a store-branded website, or they can have a fully customised site developed to a design brief.

To demonstrate the ‘look and feel’ of a Dakis-based website, IPS is offering to create a fully-functional demonstration website for potential customers, complete with store brand.

IPS says that the reception for Dakis at the Digital Life Expo was positive, with retailers from around Australia including Camera Solutions (WA), Arkabar (SA), Photo Barn (Vic), and Photo Centric (NSW) already signed up for a Dakis-based web presence.

The Dakis software suite consists of:

Online Photominator (online print ordering)
Online Photo Factory (photo gifting products)
In-store photo kiosk
WebStore (camera and accessory sales)
Managed website

Following web design and set up, ongoing costs consist of a website hosting fees (starting at $75/month), kiosk software license fees, and a range of ‘optional extras’ including product information packages (for hardware sales).

The commission on online print orders is 5 cents per file – even when multiple prints are ordered from the same file.
